Present: ~~ Gerry Casiello, Chairman; John Shaban, Vice Chairman; Ben Gordon, Secretary; Marshall Sanford; Joe Ventricelli, Ted Ogonek; Gary Miyashiro; Amy Atamian
Also Present: Bob Flanagan, ZEO
Mr. Miyashiro was seated for Ben Gordon, who was absent.
REGULAR MEETING
1. Approval of Public Hearing Minutes, August 11, 2010
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Miyashiro and seconded by Mr. Ventricelli to approve as amended. Carried unanimously.
2. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes August 11, 2010
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Miyashiro and seconded by Mr. Ventricelli to approve. Carried unanimously.
3. Zoning Commission-Amendments to Zoning Regulations
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Sanford and seconded by Mr. Miyashiro to approve. Carried unanimously.
4. Application 10-01 – Johannes P. Van Brakel and Tricia L. Nelson, 9 Great Pond Lane - Review, Accept and Schedule a Public Hearing for a Special permit and Site Plan Review. Public Hearing scheduled for October 13, 2010.
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Sanford and seconded by Mr. Shaban to accept and schedule a public hearing for October 13, 2010. Carried unanimously.
5. Application 10-02 – Calvary Independent Baptist Church (CIBC Holding Group) 711/715 Redding Road–Review, Accept and Schedule a Public Hearing for a Special permit and Site Plan Review. Public Hearing to be scheduled for September 22, 2010.
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Shaban and seconded by Mr. Gordon to accept and schedule a public hearing for September 22, 2010. Carried unanimously.
6. Redding Republican Town Committee – Discuss with Commission a renewal of a Limited Duration Permit for the Annual Pig Roast to be held on September 26, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Previously held on 10/18/09.
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Shaban and seconded by Mr. Gordon to approve. Carried unanimously.
7. Communications- Commission members discussed a letter received from Candace Benyei, 29 Giles Hill Road. Commission members discussed deficiencies in the definitions with regard to farming and livestock operations. Mr. Casiello will review the definitions and speak to Town Counsel.
