Applicant suggested amending the permit to include the Lumberyard Pub to have a band during the Georgetown Day event. During last year’s event, the Lumberyard had a band that was not part of the permit, resulting in complaints with regard to noise and general violation of the permit. Ralph Bosch, GVR, Inc. spoke briefly, stating that making the Lumberyard part of the permit was fine, as long as they abided by the parameters of the permit. Two members of the public spoke:
Steve Burke and Susan Jackson, 25 Old Mill Road, both had concerns with regard to noise from the band at the Lumberyard. Different options were discussed as to location of the band at the Lumberyard that would least impact the neighbors. A motion to approve as presented was made by Mr. Gordon but received no second. After further discussion, the following motion was made:
MOTION: ~Made by Mr. Shaban, Mr. Sanford seconded to approve with the condition that outdoor music in the parking lot of the Lumberyard be unamplified; if the band is placed in the rear corner of the Lumberyard, under the awning near the ping pong table, it may be amplified. Carried unanimously.
