November 12, 2008
7:30 p.m.-Hearing Room Town Hall

Town of Redding, Connecticut


Present: Gerry Casiello, Acting Chairman; Ben Gordon, Secretary; Marshall Sanford, Joe Ventricelli, John Shaban, Amy Atamian, Gary Miyashiro

Also present: Robert Flanagan, Zoning Enforcement Officer

REGULAR MEETING:

1.      Georgetown Land Development – To receive an Amendment to Master Plan Site Plan and set a Public Hearing.
Richard Gibbons and Steven Soler, Georgetown Land Development, were present to answer the Commissions questions. Mr. Gibbons explained that there were minor changes to the site plan, and they did not affect the overall density or affordable housing units.

MOTION: Made by Mr. Sanford and seconded by Mr. Shaban to accept the amended master plan and schedule a Public Hearing for December 10, 2008. Carried unanimous.

2.      Approval of Public Hearing Meeting Minutes October 08, 2008
MOTION: Made by Mr. Gordon and seconded by Mr. Sanford to accept the minutes as submitted. Carried unanimous.

3.      Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes October 08, 2008
MOTION: Made by Mr. Gordon and seconded by Mr. Sanford to accept the minutes as submitted. Carried unanimous.

4.      Georgetown Land Development –Discuss with Commission on possible action to reduce or release the Demolition Bond for the        Georgetown Special Taxing District.
MOTION: Made by Mr. Sanford and seconded by Mr. Gordon to release the Demolition Bond for the Georgetown Taxing District. Carried unanimous.

5.      Discussion: Discussion and review to erect fencing for vandalism with Georgetown Land Development.
The Commission briefly discussed the installation of fencing on the part of the property near the train tracks, opposite the church. The purpose of the fence is to reduce liability and prevent vandalism.

6.      Future Agenda
Public Hearing- December 10, 2008: Georgetown Land Development- To receive an amendment to Master Plan Site Plan.
        
7.      Adjournment
