Mr. Taylor called the Public Hearing to order at 7:30 pm
Mr. Casiello read the call of the Public Hearing:
CALL: Public Hearing; Michael Greenberg, 292 Post Road East, Westport, CT—discuss with the Zoning Commission a Site Plan Approval for a 2-story office building at 4 Old Mill Road, Georgetown, CT. Casiello, Sanford. Approved. Unanimous.
DISCUSSION
Steve Romano (Land Tech),Russ Slaback (Leggette Brashears & Graham, Inc), Don Simms (BRS Consultants), Dan Conlon (architect) and Michael Greenberg(owner) provided responses and information as requested at the previous hearing.
Susan Jackson (owner of adjacent property) questioned the length of time for monitoring wells following blasting and expressed concern that any lighting not negatively impact her property. Mr. Slaback responded that effects of any blasting would be immediately known. Mr. Simms explained the procedure for pre and post blasting inspections. Mr. Romano responded to the lighting issue, the zoning regulations will be followed for all lighting.
Parking: Mr. Casiello raised the issue of shared parking, i.e. making the parking lot available to the public after the building is closed for business. Mr. Greenberg responded that the current parking lot has been used by the public and he will continue to allow public use after the building is completed. He added that the parking will be nicer and safer.
Motion: move to close the public hearing. Casiello, Sanford. Approved. Unanimous.
