REGULAR MEETING
Chairman Taylor called the regular meeting of the Redding Zoning Commission to order at 7:35 p.m.
CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES
MOTION: Mr. Caseillo made a motion to approve the motions of the regular meeting of March 14, 2007 as submitted. Mr. Gordon seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
MOTION: Mr. Gordon made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March 14, 2007 as submitted. Mr. Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion to approve the minutes of the public hearing for Elio Caricchia on March 14, 2007 as submitted. Mr. Gordon seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion to approve the minutes of the public hearing for Parker Coates of March 14, 2007 as submitted. Mr. Gordon seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
Elio Cavicchia Sixty Redding, LLC, 60 Redding Road
Mr. Casiello stated that he is concerned with several items relating to this application, however, they are not Zoning concerns, except for the moving of the rock. However, Milone and McBroom, Engineers, feel that this plan is potentially feasible.
Mr. Taylor asked that Mr. Casiello draft a detailed motion for the Commission to review at their next meeting.
Redding Elementary School PTA-Limited Duration Permit
MOTION: Mr. Sanford made a motion to approve the application submitted by the Redding Elementary School PTA for a Limited Duration Permit for the RES PTA 5K Raccoon Fun Run and Walk for Saturday May 26, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and to waive the fees with the exception of publication fees. Mr. Gordon seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
John Read Middle School-Limited Duration Permit for putting up 2’ by 3’ Free standing sandwich Board signs
The proposal is for one sign in front of the school and one at the Elementary School where the buses loop around. The Commission explained that they are allowed four signs and no action was needed.
Meadow Ridge Life Care, 100 Redding Road-Revision to the site plans
Don Priest was present for the application and explained that this is for a revision to the courtyard area of Phase 2, Maple Building. Photos were presented to the Commission. The same elements will remain in the original proposal for the courtyard, they will only be moved around due to rock. The size of the courtyard will not be changed. Two additional area drains will be included and there will be no additional water.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion indicating that this application has minor modifications and a public hearing will not be required. Mr. Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
MOTION: Mr. Sanford made a motion to approve the modifications to the site plans for Meadow Ridge Life Care, 100 Redding Road, Residential Building III courtyard as presented on the plans. Mr. Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. Taylor reviewed the communications and explained that the Town of Bethel will be holding a public hearing on April 24, 2007 regarding a Zone change.
A representative from the Georgetown Lions Club was present and questioned the process for placing signs for a carnival. Mr. Taylor encouraged him to put in an application and that four off premises signs are permitted.

MOTION: Mr. Gordon made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 p.m. Mr. Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
