PUBLIC HEARING
Redding Elementary School PTA-Limited Duration Permit
Mr. Gordon read the legal notice into the record.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion to open the public hearing for the limited duration permit for the Redding Elementary School PTA for the RES PTA 5K Raccoon Fun Run and Walk for Saturday May 26, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mr. Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
A representative from the Redding Elementary School PTA was present and explained that this is the first time that this event will be held. It is a 3.1 mile adult run on the roads, which will include Lonetown Road, Hill Street, Old Stagecoach, and Gallows Hill, Gallows Hill Extension and back to the Community Center. The kids will have a one mile run on the field near the school. There will be water, bagels and fruit served to the runners.
There will be police coverage. She has been in contact with Chief Doug Fuchs.
The kids run will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be children up to 12 years old.
They are currently looking into road markers and they have been in contact with Chief Doug Fuchs regarding temporary road markings. Four signs will be on private property and one will be placed at the school.
There was no one from the public wishing to speak regarding this application.
MOTION: Mr. Gordon made a motion to close the public hearing for the limited duration permit for the Redding Elementary School PTA for the RES PTA 5K Raccoon Fun Run and Walk for Saturday May 26, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mr. Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
