Mr. Gordon read the legal notice into the record.

MOTION:  Mr. Casiello made a motion to enter the public hearing for the application submitted by the New Pond Farm for a limited duration Permit for a “Holiday Farmers Market” to be held on October 28 and October 29, 2006 at 7:36 p.m.  Mr. Gordon seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.

Representatives from New Pond Farm were present and explained that the event has never been held before and they intend to conduct this in their two rooms within their building.  The event Friday Evening will be for invited guests only and will be more controlled in the amount of people present.  The event on Saturday will be advertised in the PILOT for the general public.

The Apple Harvest Festival will be held on the 14th of October and these are the only two big events.  The parking will be sufficient for this event.

Laura Ruggiero stated that she fears that this opens an avenue of possibilities to bring in other items to sell on the farm.

The representative of New Pond Farm stated that she feels this will be a small event and she would be surprised if there were more than 20 people at one time.  This is a special event which will tie into the area of their facility.

MOTION:  Mr. Casiello made a motion to close the public hearing for New Pond Farm at7:43 p.m.  Mr. Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
