REGULAR MEETING
Chairman Taylor called the regular meeting of the Redding Zoning Commission to order at 7:30
p.m. and seated Amy Atamian for Ben Gordon.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF MARCH 8, 2006
The following corrections should be noted on the minutes of the public hearing of March 8,
2006:
· Page 2, 7th paragraph, should read, “…haybales…”
· Page 3, first paragraph, should read, “…will have pockets.”
· Page 3, first paragraph, should read, “…and North Main Street…”
· Page 4, fourth paragraph, should read, “…just policy.”
MOTION: Mr. Sanford made a motion to approve the minutes of the public hearing of
March 8, 2006 as amended. Mr. Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried
unanimously.

MOTION: Mr. Sanford made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of
March 8, 2006 as submitted. Mr. Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried
unanimously.
Georgetown Village Restoration, Inc., Main Street Georgetown
Adam Lubarski was present and requested that the fee be waived for this application.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion to approve the application submitted by Georgetown
Village Restoration, Inc. for a Limited Duration Permit for the 4th Annual Georgetown Day to be
held on June 11, 2006. Fees shall be waived with the exception of the publication fees. Mr.
Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.

Redding Garden Club, Redding
MOTION: Mr. Sanford made a motion to approve the application submitted by the Redding
Garden Club for a Limited Duration Permit for the “Annual Plant Sale” on the Town Green
Saturday May 13, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Fees shall be waived with the exception of
the publication fees. Mr. Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
Redding Garden Club and New Pond Farm
The proposal is from the Redding Garden Club in combination with New Pond Farm. Box
lunches will be available at New Pond Farm. This is a new event, therefore a public hearing will
be required. It will be held April 12, 2006.
New Pond Farm, 101 Marchant Road
MOTION: Mr. Sanford made a motion to approve the application submitted by New Pond Farm
for a Limited Duration Permit for Founder’s May Fair to be held on Saturday May 14, 2006 from
11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Fees shall be waived with the exception of the publication fees. Mr.
Casiello seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
New Pond Farm 101 Marchant Road
A public hearing was scheduled for April 12, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
New Pond Farm, 101 Marchant Road
A representative of New Pond Farm was present and explained that Mr. Gormley had indicated
that additional trees are needed for buffer plantings. New Pond Farm feels that this is asking
too much and wanted to present this to the Zoning Commission. She distributed a letter to the
Commission as well as photos. She further explained that the position of the plantings would
obstruct the view of the pasture. Frank Taylor explained that the parking needs to be screened
from off site view. There are holes in the screening that need to be filled.
Laura Ruggiero was also present and stated that most of the time the buses do not pull in as they
are suppose to. She presented photos to the Commission.
Joel Barlow High School
Mr. Poltrack was present and submitted a letter to the Commission requesting a release of the
bond. Mr. Gormley also submitted a report of his last site visit to the Commission. Mr. Gormley
explained that there are two minor items left to complete which should only take a couple of days
to do. Walter Czudak was also present and explained in detail how the work will be completed.
A copy of the bond was also submitted to the Commission by Mr. Gormley.
Tom Gormley explained to the Commission that there has been more cooperation and effort to do
work at this site over the past year and a half.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion to approve the release of one half the bond at this time
for Joel Barlow High School and to release the second half in six months. Mr. Sanford seconded
the motion and it was carried unanimously.

Overbrook Associates, LLC, 17 Main Street Georgetown
The Building Department has required that a secondary egress exterior stairs be installed.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion indicating that the addition of a secondary egress to the
exterior of the building located at 28 Main Street is a minor amendment to a site plan. Mr.
Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
Krasniqui, 289 Ethan Allen Highway
A public hearing was scheduled for April 26, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
Northpoint Construction, 110B Nashville Road, Bethel
The structure is located at 230 Poverty Hollow Road. The proposal is to construct a barn for the
use of storing an antique tractor collection. The building will be 2500 square feet.
MOTION: Mr. Casiello made a motion approve the site plan as presented with the stipulation
that the Zoning Commission may require, in perpetuity, additional screening on the lot. Mr.
Sanford seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
