Ms. Ketcham: Good evening. I’d like to call this special town meeting to order. The first item of business is to elect a moderator for this evening. Are there any nominations? Yes?
Mr. Takacs: I nominate Judge Richard Emerson.
Ms. Ketcham: All right, Judge Emerson has been nominated. Is there a second?

Ms. Ketcham: Second. Are there any other nominations? Hearing none, all in favor of Judge Emerson signify by saying aye.

Ms. Ketcham: Anyone opposed? Then the motion carries unanimously and the meeting is Judge Emerson’s.
Mr. Emerson: As the first item of the meeting this evening I call upon Michele Grande Redding’s Town Clerk to read the warning of the meeting.
Ms. Grande: Warning, Notice of Special Town Meeting. The Legal Voters in the Town of Redding, Connecticut, and those entitled to vote therein are hereby warned and notified to meet at the Special Town Meeting to be held in the Hearing Room of the Town Hall Office Building in Redding, Connecticut, on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 7:30 pm for the following purpose: Upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance to transfer $32,044.19 from Contingency and Retirement of Notes to Special Legal, and to transfer $96,307.41 from Retirement of Notes to Highway Overtime ($28,418) Highway Salt ($21,000) and Highway Sand ($46,889.41) for the Fiscal Year 2005-06. To do any and all things legal and necessary to accomplish the above named purpose and to take any other action that may legally come before the

Now as you just heard there is only one item on the agenda this evening which is to approve the recommendation of the Board of Finance to transfer the sums as just read to you in the warning of the meeting.
