ANNUAL TOWN BUDGET MEETING
APRIL 21, 2011
MINUTES

Present:  Judge Richard Emerson, Selectman Donald Takacs, Selectman Julia Pemberton, Town Clerk
Michele Grande, and three members of the public; Frank DeSalvo, Joan DeSalvo and James Miller.

                                LEGAL NOTICES
                                                              WARNING
                                                         NOTICE OF ANNUAL
                                                    TOWN BUDGET MEETING

The Legal Voters in the Town of Redding, Connecticut, and those
               entitled to vote therein are hereby warned and notified to meet at
the Annual Town Budget Meeting to be held in the Hearing Room of
the Town Hall Office Building in Redding, Connecticut on Thursday,
April 21, 2011 at 5:30 P.M., EDT for the following purpose:

“to set the date and time for the Annual Budget referendum
for fiscal year July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012. Pursuant to the
provisions CGS 7-7 amended by Public Act 81-228, the Board
of Selectmen voted at a Special Meeting duly warned and held
on March 31, 2011 to send the budget to referendum.”

To do any and all things legal and necessary to accomplish the
above named purpose and take any other action that may legally
and properly come before the meeting.

Mr. Takacs called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm in the Hearing Room of the Town Hall Office Building and requested a nomination for a permanent moderator for the meeting.

Motion: move to elect Judge Richard Emerson as moderator.  Miller, Grande.  Approved. Unanimous.

Judge Emerson called on Town Clerk, Michele Grande, to read the legal notice into the record.  Mrs. Grande
read the legal notice.  Judge Emerson noted that he had received certification as to the publishing of the legal notice in accordance with Section 7-4 of the Connecticut General Statutes.  Judge Emerson requested a motion for the only item on the agenda.  He added that the Board of Selectmen, on their own initiative, had removed the vote to a referendum.

Motion: move to set a referendum vote for May 3, 2011, from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Redding Community Center.  Joan DeSalvo, James Miller.  Approved. Unanimous.

Judge Emerson announced there was no other business.
Motion: move to adjourn the meeting.  Pemberton, Takacs.  Approved. Unanimous.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:35 pm
