Special Board of Selectmen meeting
February 7, 2011
7 pm TOB
First Selectman Natalie Ketcham called the meeting to order at 7pm. The board heard FY 2011-12 budget presentations from Highway Superintendent Bruce Sanford and Treasurer Peg O’Donnell. Members of the Conservation Commission were present along with Redding Land Trust representative Sean McNamara to discuss the proposal for a shared Open Space Manager.
At 7:50 pm the Board moved from the Hearing Room to the Town Hall Conference Room to continue budget deliberations. Resident Jim Miller inquired about the process for identifying ownership of trees along town roads to avoid town responsibility for privately owned trees. Controller Steve Gniadek presented information on various items in the budget for board consideration and kept an active spread sheet for the future. It was requested that any questions or items for further discussion be identified by the next Board of Selectmen meeting on February 14, 2011, when the budget must be adopted.
At 8:50 pm, the board adjourned.
