Mrs. Ketcham called the January 12, 2010 meeting to order at 7:30 pm
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion: move that the minutes of the December 21, 2009 meeting be approved as submitted. Takacs, Pemberton. Approved. Unanimous.
DISCUSSION ON LONG RANGE CAPITAL PLAN
The various items on the Long Range Capital Plan were discussed. No action was taken.
DATE AND TIME FOR A TOWN MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE CODIFIED TOWN CODE
This item was deferred.
APPOINTMENTS
Motion: move to appoint Scott Palmer as a full member and Liz Furrer as an alternate member of the Board of Assessment Appeals. Pemberton, Takacs. Approved. Unanimous.
Motion: move to appoint Todd Eubanks to the Water Pollution Control Commission. Takacs, Ketcham. Approved. Unanimous.
REGIONAL PROBATE DISTRICT UPDATE
Mrs. Ketcham reported the First Selectmen of the newly created Probate District, Bethel, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield, met earlier in the week to establish a name for the Probate District and the location. The court was name the Northern Fairfield County Probate Court and the location was determined to be in the central location of Bethel. The Court will be housed in the Bethel Municipal Center. The change is effective January 2011. The judge for the Court will be determined by election in November 2010.
