Special Board of Selectmen meeting
December 22, 2008
First Selectman Natalie Ketcham called the meeting to order at 8:40am. Minutes from the December 15, 2008 Board of Finance meeting were reviewed and discussion centered on the motion recommending that the tax incremental financing proposal for GLDC proceed to a town meeting. Don Takacs made a motion, seconded by Tina Miller, that the warning of the special town meeting be accepted as presented, which sets the Town Meeting for Jan 6, 2009 (snow date Jan 8, 2009) and repeats the conditions for approval as set forth in the Board of Finance motion. The motion carried unanimously.
T. Miller moved that First Selectman Natalie Ketcham is authorized to execute an Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Agreement and a Conservation and Public Recreation Easement and Agreement with the State of Connecticut for financial assistance on the acquisition of the Levine property. D. Takacs seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 9am.
