Special Board of Selectmen meeting
April 17, 2008
5:30pm TOB
First Selectman Natalie Ketcham called the meeting to order at 5:35pm. A brief discussion on the proposed tax increase for FY 2008-09 occurred, and there was consensus on the board that it was prudent to be as conservative as possible with all expenditures for next year. Consequently, Don Takacs moved, and Tina Miller seconded, that the Board of Selectmen withdraw the following capital items recommended to the Town Meeting on April 21, 2008 for short-term borrowing for a savings of $290,000:
The excavator, 2 trucks to be refurbished, the pick up with plow, and 2 police cruisers.
The new amount to be recommended for the Bond Anticipation Note is $1,158,000.
On the motion of Tina Miller, seconded by Don Takacs, the meeting adjourned at 6:15pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Natalie Ketcham
