February 5, 2007
Present: Ketcham, Miller, Takacs
Also present: Steve Patton, L. Hutvagner and S. Wolf of the Redding Pilot
Mrs. Ketcham called the February 5, 2007 meeting to order at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room of the Redding Town Office Building.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion: move to executive session for a discussion of matters related to negotiations. Miller, Takacs. Approved Unanimous. Mr. Patton was invited to be present.
The meeting recessed at 7:00 pm
RECONVENE
The meeting was reconvened in public session at 7:45 pm. No action was taken
DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON FISCAL YEAR 2007-08 BOARD OF SELECTMEN BUDGET
The proposed Selectmen budget was discussed. Additional reductions were reviewed. Changes included: a reduction in the GIS expenditure, reduction for Zoning Department and Building Department by deleting new vehicles and including used police vehicles, reduction for Highway Department by eliminating the two new positions. Under Capital, the phone system for Town Hall was eliminated, and the door releases and generator at the Community Center were deleted.
Motion: That the Board of Selectmen approve a budget of $10,470,248, representing a 7.75% increase for fiscal year 2007-08. Miller, Takacs. Approved. Unanimous.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 pm.
