REDDING PARAMEDIC ALLIANCE MEETING
HELD THURSDAY August 4, 2011
At Redding Town Hall
MINUTES
MEMBERS PRESENT: Natalie Ketcham, Ron Romano, Wade Roese and Bernice Scherb
GUESTS: Jeanne McKenney
Ron called the meeting to order at 17:01.
REVIEW OF MINUTES: Ron asked if there were any omissions errors or corrections
to the minutes. There were none. The minutes were accepted.
OLD BUSINESS:
Ron asked all 3 departments if there were any complaints or problems with the Paramedic
Service and as a whole they were very pleased with the service.
Jeanne representing DHCA also had no complaints and was very pleased with interactions
with all 3 Departments.
Natalie discussed the need for Officer’s Insurance. She is waiting for an exact
quote but anticipates it will be between $300 and $500 per dept. including the town’s share.
She also suggested members go back to their departments to see if they are automatically
included under their insurance before any more is purchased.
NEW BUSINESS: Wade discussed the need for a transition class in addition to a recert
class for EMS recertification.
Jeanne discussed a case study course to be offered to all departments and noted there are
several new medics that will soon be working in the area.
At 17:25 Ron made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Wade and approved by all.
