Redding Paramedic Alliance Meeting Minutes

Held at Redding Town Hall
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Romano (on speaker phone), Natalie Ketcham, Wade Roese,
Bernice Scherb
Guests: Matt Cassavechia
The meeting was called to order at 5:12 p.m. by Wade Roese.
MINUTES: Wade asked if there were any omissions, errors or corrections in the minutes. The minutes were accepted.
OLD BUSINESS: Matt noted that Medfinancial had resubmitted all claims with no changes
occurring.
NEW BUSINESS: Matt brought up changes from Medicare pertaining to documentation of
mileage for ambulance calls. We will now need to document mileage to the tenth of a decimal
with no rounding up. This may require GPS or some other method to document.
Ron Romano asked Matt if he could provide a class on spiking bags and patient restraint.
Matt thought that was a good idea and would look into it. He also suggested including Law
Enforcement and Crisis Intervention.
Wade discussed a seminar he attended on changes in protocol for Hyperthermic patients.
There was some discussion concerning possible new ambulance dispatch responses. Natalie
will talk to Doug Fuchs about any changes and ask him to review the protocol.
At 5:45 Natalie made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Ron.
