REDDING PARAMEDIC ALLIANCE
OCTOBER 29, 2009
MINUTES
HELD AT REDDING TOWN HALL

MEMBERS PRESENT:    Natalie Ketcham, Ron Romano, Wade Roese,
and Bernice Scherb

                                 GUESTS PRESENT:   Matthew Cassavechia

The meeting was called to order at 17:10 by Ron Romano.  The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the first three months of the new Paramedic Service being provided
by Danbury Health Systems.

Ron stated that West Redding Fire Dept. had excellent reviews of the new service.  The
Medic was on scene sometimes before the BLS crew.  Training drills have also been
initiated and are very good.  As far as the department is concerned the Medic Car
has been returned 100% of the time.  Wade gave an excellent review from Redding
Ridge Fire Dept. and Bernice gave excellent reviews from Georgetown.

The group clarified that all ALS calls were to be transported to Danbury Hospital except for Meadow Ridge residents.

Matt had only positive remarks for the 3 Fire Dept.’s participation in the new program.

Natalie suggested that Sue Wolf of the Redding Pilot do an article about the new Paramedic Program and how it works.  Matt suggested including a contest for P.R.

At 17:35 Natalie Ketcham made a motion to adjourn.  The motion was seconded by Ron
Romano and all were in favor.

Respectfully submitted,

Bernice Scherb
Secretary/Treasurer
