MEETING MINUTES
Present: Don Takacs, Liz Pelzar, Chris Hocker, Paul Degener, Jan Dorenbosch
Also present: Rob Blick (Director Redding Park and Recreation Department)
Mr. Takacs called the September 7, 2010 meeting to order at 8:17 pm in the Redding Town Office Building.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion: move to approve the minutes of the September 7, 2010 meeting as submitted. Hocker, Pelzer. Approved. Unanimous.
FIELDS STATUS AND NEXT STEPS
Mr. Takacs reported the Conservation Commission approved the plan contingent upon having final drawings. Mr. Blades of Blades and Goven will provide the drawings as approved.
The next step is to present the plan to the Zoning Commission on October 13, 2010. The Zoning Commission will schedule a Public Hearing on the plan, probably on October 27, 2007. Committee members were encouraged to be present at the Public Hearing.
FUNDING BROCHURE AND FUNDING OPTIONS
Mr. Degener presented the draft of the planned brochure and asked for comments/suggestions as soon as possible. The official name for the 501(c)3 group is The Redding Athletic Fields Foundation, Inc. (RAFFI), and a post office box for receipt of donations has been secured at the Georgetown Post Office.
Discussion of the brochure contents, photos and written information, followed. All edits & changes need to completed as soon as possible.
UPDATE STATUS OF 501(C)(3) FOR COLLECTION OF NEEDED FUNDS TO COMPLETE RCC #2
Mr. Hocker reported the State of Connecticut has received the application, and he anticipates receipt of the certified Certificate of Incorporation any day. This will allow the opening of a bank account, and the IRS filing process can be completed.
