PUBLIC COMMENT/LETTERS/CORRESPONDENCE:
·       Mr. Blick continues to receive positive comments in regard to camp counselors, lifeguards, and the Concerts on the Green.

DIRECTORS REPORT:  There was no written Director’s Report this month.

JBHS BUILDING COMMITTEE:  No updates.

FINANCE COMMITTEE/BUDGET:  Mr. Blick and Mr. Morrison have not yet met.  Mr. Morrision is new to this committee and would like to be emailed the Excel document that contains the budget format.  That way he can look it over and suggest any changes that he may like to make.  The budget needs to be sent to the Town by the end of December.  Monthly reports typically come at the end of the second week in the month.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION COMMITTEE:  When more people are appointed to the Park and Rec. Commission, Ms. Goldman will need someone else on this committee to assist her.

TOPSTONE PARK ENHANCEMENT COMMITTEE:  Due to the very hot weather this summer, many people have been using the park.  Revenues have exceeded budget and we are still selling passes.  Ms. Morgan visited the park and was happy to see the camp arrangement there.  There are only small groups there at any given time.  This makes for a safe arrangement.  The Newcomer’s party went very well.

ORGANIZATION/PERSONNEL: Ms. Morgan will call Tina Miller to be sure that compensation issues have definitely been discussed in Executive Session at the Board of Selectmen meeting.

ATHLETIC FIELDS COMMITTEE:  Mr. Blick met with Conservation.  They do not have to approve the IPM for the fields.  The RES field has been treated and it will be seeded a week before school starts and again in September.  A new well is presently being put in.  Work on the drainage problem on Field 2 has been completed.  There was a slight accident in which Skip Filanowski backed his truck into the irrigation box.  It took a week to get any water back on the fields.
RCC GROUNDS COMMITTEE: The storage building for the mower is up. There will need to be a generator put in the budget for next year.  Willie Roman will need to put gravel by our entrance.

WEBSITE:  Mr. Blick has been able to put some things up.  The Town wants to keep the same format for every department.  Mr. Blick will ask if Park and Rec. can have their own site.  Mr. Shah would like to see our website be more interactive, so people could register online and use their credit cards.  Mr. Blick will call Ridgefield Park and Rec. to find out what their fee structure is for registering online.
NEW BUSINESS:
Meadow Ridge - We will be using the pool at Meadow Ridge again this year with the same hours.  Mr. Blick was able to get a reduced fee.  Our goal is to break even.  Mr. Blick asked for a reduced fee with the agreement that whatever revenue there is after paying the lifeguards and the fee for the use of the pool, it will be given to Meadow Ridge.  He will raise the cost of the passes slightly.

Our next meeting will be September 26th.
