PUBLIC COMMENT/LETTERS/CORRESPONDENCE:  There were no public comments or letters/correspondence to discuss.

DIRECTORS REPORT:  April 7th has been finalized as the date for a meeting with school administrators regarding Park and Rec. maintaining the fields the next fiscal year.  The Commission agrees that the school fields need to be mowed twice a week, especially before the weekends.

Mr. Blick shared that we were able to include “Camp Invention” in what we will offer this summer.  This is a program offered through the National Inventors Hall of Fame and will be held for a week at JRMS.

JBHS BUILDING COMMITTEE:  No updates.

FINANCE COMMITTEE/BUDGET:  There were no updated numbers received yet to review.  Mr. Blick received a call from Natalie Ketcham about the financial benefit of raising pass fees at Topstone Park.  The  Commission will discuss this matter further at a future meeting and will consider raising the fees in the next budget.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION COMMITTEE:  Mr. Blick will meet with Ms. Goldman before next month’s meeting to explain in more detail how programs are developed and implemented.

TOPSTONE PARK ENHANCEMENT COMMITTEE:  There was some vandalism at the park last week.  The door on the changing room had been ripped off.

ORGANIZATION/PERSONNEL:  No discussion.

ATHLETIC FIELDS COMMITTEE:   There was no meeting due to a lack of quorum.  There will be a meeting next week.  Mr. Dolan brought up again the idea of working something out with Meadow Ridge in regard to creating some playing fields on their site.  John Erickson is the Administrator at Meadow Ridge who helped arrange the use of the pool there.  Mr. Dolan will contact him.  Turfing JRMS and putting up lights is still an option.

RCC GROUNDS COMMITTEE:  Mr. Dolan wondered about the condition of the outside of the gym in back of the building.  It needs to be painted.  Mr. Blick said that it is in the Community Center budget to do so.

Recording Secretary:  Debbie Clark
