Extended Day Early Admission Procedure for 2011-12

Certain categories of participants will be able to have early admission to Extended Day 2011-12. |
|
See below for your specific category. |
|
All forms and payments must be dropped off at the Park and Recreation office. |
|
A Fax, email, “snail mail” or credit card is not acceptable for this process. Checks only, please. |
|
“Frequent Flyer” = a child whose parents pay for the same schedule every week of the school year and that schedule is for the same 4 or 5 days in the 6:00 time slot. |
|
Four final forms and the first month’s payment will be due after July 1 but no later than Mon. Aug. 22. |
|
You will get a reminder letter in early July with all the details and necessary forms. |
Categories:
1. Current 10-11 Frequent Flyers in good standing as of March 2011 will be guaranteed a Frequent Flyer spot for 2011-12 Extended Day only if they do the following:
- During the month of March bring a completed Extended Day 2011-12 Frequent Flyer Early Admission Form and a check for $225 to the Park and Rec office. This amount of $225 includes the $25 yearly registration fee plus a non-refundable $200 deposit, only usable for May or June 2012 Extended Day fees for Frequent Flyers in good standing throughout the year.
- One set of forms and check per child please.
- Wednesday, March 31 at 5:30pm is the deadline.
- Please read the 11-12 Owner’s Manual to fully understand the program.
2. Incoming 11-12 Kindergarteners who want to be considered for Frequent Flyer status need to:
- During the month of March bring a completed Extended Day 2011-12 Frequent Flyer Early Admission Form and a check for $225 to the Park and Rec office. This amount of $225 includes the $25 yearly registration fee plus a non-refundable $200 deposit, only usable for May or June 2012 Ext. Day fees for Frequent Flyers in good standing.
- Wednesday, March 31 at 5:30pm is the deadline.
- We will have a certain number of slots allocated for new Kindergarteners frequent Flyers.
- If we have less than or exactly our number by the deadline, everybody’s in!
- If we get more than our allocated number, we’ll have a lottery the first week of April.
- Parents will be notified as soon as possible, most likely before April vacation.
- Please read the 11-12 Owner’s Manual for comprehensive policies and fees.
3. Any one else who is interested in Extended Day on any level can fill out the 11-12 Wait List form and hand it in during the month of April. This includes the following:

new Frequent Flyers in grades 1 – 4. |
|
current and new Part Time Frequent Flyer (2-3 days/week consistently all year) |
|
occasional use |
|
incoming kindergarteners* who need the 12:40–2:40 time slot |
|

- A lottery using the submitted 11-12 Wait List Forms will be held on May 1 if any openings exist at that point. Parents will be notified as soon as possible, most likely within a week.
- Please read the 11-12 Owner’s Manual with all our policies and procedures.
- Even if no openings exist on May 1, all wait list forms will be put in order of lottery status for any future, appropriate openings.
- After May 1, 11-12 Wait List forms will still be accepted and put in the order that they are received.
