Others Attending:
Louis Latham, as Applicant
Tom Quinn, Peak Engineers LLC
Meeting started on time at 9:30 AM.
- Siting of proposed improvements was easily located from mapping, staking, relationships to existing site features, etc.
- Observed existing site conditions, including topography, wooded areas, wetland area, significant trees, stone walls, neighboring properties, etc.
- Observed proposed locations for new house, septic system, driveway and curb cut, etc.
- Observed situation of existing house including driveway, existing well located near proposed property line, etc.
- Observed neighboring hiking trails and Great Oak as hiking destination feature near the property line of the subject property.
The following observations summarize the presentation and discussion:
- Location of driveway entrance utilizes existing curb cut in order to limit disturbance of historic Long Lots wall, although this results in a slight deficiency in the sight distance to the west.
- Configuration of the property line in front of the proposed new house limits the site area available for the house; potential for changes to this line is minimal without abandoning the existing well.
- It appears that a high priority has been given in the subdivision design, to the preservation of existing site features.
Meeting was concluded, left site at approximately 10:15 AM.
