Mr. Cotton called the May 2, 2006 meeting to order at 8:30 in the Art Room of the Redding Community Center.
The results of the budget referendum were announced.
Town of Redding, Yes, 1073; no 552, budget passed
Region #9, Yes, 927, no 689, budget passed
The Town of Easton voted against the Region #9 budget by a margin of 79. The votes of the two towns are combined, and the budget passed.
ACTION TO SET THE MILL RATE
Motion: move that the Redding Board of Selectmen set the mill rate for the 2006-2007 fiscal year at the same rate as the previous year, 22.74 mills. DeSalvo, Viscio. Approved. Unanimous.
