DISCUSSION OF REGION #9 BOARD OF EDUCATION BUDGET

Chairman Pemberton addressed the board regarding the Region #9 budget.  The board is still in a discussion stage, but hopes to finalize the budget at their meeting on Tuesday.  Mrs. Pemberton and Mr. Poltrack discussed the need to request additional funding to pay outstanding invoices, obligations and litigation expenses related to the building project.  The board has not set a date for a referendum for the approval of up to $2,000,000, but is considering the same date as the vote on the budgets.  First Selectman Ketcham urged the Region #9 to consider a different date.
