REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 2011

The meeting was called to order at 9:03 a.m.
- Approval of Minutes from March 2, 2011
The minutes were reviewed and approved as presented.
Eloise Barron, Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, spoke briefly about Quality of Living at Home presentation planned for May 18, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Booths and exhibitors involving health and wellness as well as financial advisors will be part of the event. It will be videotaped and televised on the local cable channel. An acapella group and a barbershop quartet will provide entertainment; there will also be raffles at many of the exhibition tables. Commission members discussed logistical details of the event and developed an action plan for publicity, invitations and advertising. Each member will take on a few tasks and help with set up at 3 p.m. forthe Seminar.
Ms. Schiron presented the Municipal Agent’s Report to the Commission. She will be meeting with the local clergy to help identify people in need.
Ms. Sibilio presented the Heritage Center Report to the Commission. A new quilting class is being offered. There were 169 van trips in March for a total of 1,418 miles.
Hilda Rhodes spoke briefly with regard to the Program Sub-Committee Report. Jean Whitham will coordinate articles and photographs for publication in the Redding Pilot.
The next COA meeting is scheduled for May 4, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
