REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2010
9:00 a.m.

The meeting was called to order at 9:02 a.m.
I. Approval of Minutes from October 6, 2010
The minutes were reviewed and approved as submitted.
II Public Participation
The Living At Home with Quality Care Seminar was a success. Approximately 73 people were in attendance. Requests for additional copies of the Directory have been received. Copies can be obtained at Town Hall, Heritage Center and soon at the Mark Twain Library. Commissioners received positive feedback from residents as well as those in attendance from out of town. The information could also be made available on the Town of Redding website and the Library website.
III. Commissioner Reports
Ms. Schiron presented the Municipal Agent’s Report to the Commission.
Ms. Sibilio presented the Heritage Center Report to the Commission. There were 130 van trips in October for a total of 1,147 miles. Commission members discussed program promotion and marketing.
Ms. Whitham reported on the results of the October 26th survey. Twenty-nine responses were received. Efforts will be made for better visibility of the newsletter, especially at the Mark Twain Library.
A sub-committee consisting of Janet Cianci, Hilda Rhodes and Bill Morris will form a sub-committee to promote Heritage Center activities. Ms. Whitham and Ms. Hayes are members of the Recreation Program Sub-Committee. Henry Polio will photograph the activities for submission in the Pilot. Ms. Whitham reported on the results of the October 26th survey. Twenty-nine responses were received. Efforts will be made for better visibility of the newsletter, especially at the Mark Twain Library.
IV. Adjournment
The next COA meeting is scheduled for December 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 10:20 a.m.
