REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m., due to a 90 minute delayed school opening.
I. Approval of Minutes from January 6, 2010
The minutes were reviewed and unanimously approved as submitted.
II. Reports
Ms. Sibilio presented the Heritage Center Report to the Commission. There were 189 van trips in January for a total of 1,512 miles. Activities are now listed online and the newsletter is now available online. The new crock-pot cooking class was quite popular.
Ms. Schiron presented the Municipal Agent’s Report to the Commission. There was a brief budget discussion. The presentation to the Board of Selectmen went well and more quickly than in years past. Many of the line items have been condensed or consolidated.
Ms. Metzger had no new information with regard to affordable senior housing in Georgetown.
The Quality Living at Home seminar “The Cost of Aging: Who Pays and How?” will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010. Seven presenters will speak on a variety of topics; Ms. Kopfstein will moderate and First Selectman Natalie Ketcham will offer opening greetings.
III. New Business
There was no new business to discuss.
IV. Adjournment
The next COA meeting is scheduled for March 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 11:07 a.m.
