Ms. Sibilio presented the Heritage Center Report to the Commission. There were 241 van trips in March for a total of 1,901 miles.
The Programs Sub-Committee will temporarily be put on hold so that a more defined purpose can be sought. Family Game Night was a success. Parks and Rec. and the Heritage Center are both sending out each other’s activities in their respective bulletins.

Ms. Kopfstein read a report from Janet Metzger providing a brief update for the Georgetown Land Development project. GLD applied to the State of CT for stimulus funds but was declined. Through lobbying of the local and state delegation, the decision is under negotiation. Discussion is ongoing concerning possible commitments to include the train platform, rail crossing, parking garage and funding for state road improvements. First Selectman Natalie Ketcham attended a meeting with Stephen Soler and the new Commissioner of the Department of Transportation to review funding sources through the stimulus program as well as other programs.
