III.    Reports
Ms. Schiron presented the Municipal Agent Report.
There were no updates from the budget process. The Commission briefly discussed fund raising options such as selling table space for craft or tag sales. There will be a $1 increase in program fees effective September 2008.
The Heritage Center van will be a part of the Memorial Day Parade on May 24, 2008. A driver will be needed for the new van to be driven in the parade.

Ms. Schiron presented the Heritage Center Report as Ms. Sibilio was not in attendance.
Van trips totaled 233, with 2,015 miles traveled during January.

There was a brief discussion as to assisting senior residents with understanding recent tax bills and easing their concerns with regard to the current economic situation. Ms. Ketcham suggested meeting with residents during a luncheon or other event at the Heritage Center and having a discussion at that time.

Ms. Rehme reported little progress made on the Georgetown affordable housing issue.

IV.     Mark Twain Library Centennial in 2008
Ms. Cianci reported that she met with Ms. Metzger twice and has been in contact with Ms. Whitham. The Centennial began in January and will run throughout the year through December.
The Heritage Center’s contribution, titled “Oral History Scrapbook” will take place in the October, and will involve reflective comments from older residents with regard to the Library. Ms. Metzger will be back in May, and Ms. Whitham will return in April, as will Ms. Bonfanti. Following the March meeting of the COA, Commission members will discuss a set of questions to ask residents. Ms. Kopfstein suggested compiling a list of residents that would be interviewed. Former library employees or those residents involved in library events over the years would be perfect candidates.
