The meeting was called to order at 9:04 A.M.

I.      Approval of Minutes from April 4, 2007
        The following change was made to the minutes:
        Ms. Metzger was not present, and her name was removed from the list of attendee’s

        The minutes were approved as amended.

II.     Reports
The Director of Human Services and Senior Center Coordinator provided oral reports of the past month’s activities and events.

III.    Business- General Discussion
        Ms. Bonfanti suggested emailing the monthly meeting minutes to Commission members who would prefer receiving them in this way. This method will be available to those interested in this option.

        Ms. Rehme is working on the list of former Commission members.

        Ms. Rehme reported on the status of senior affordable housing in Georgetown. Funding has been delayed for this part of the project by approximately 6 months.

        The Commission reviewed the letter that residents will receive with regard to the status of the GLD project. At this time, there are approximately 29 interested parties that will receive the letter that will accompany the application for senior affordable housing.

        Ms. Rehme also reported that Saturday May 5th there will be a CERT Sheltering Drill. Volunteers are asked to give 30 minutes of their time toward the drill. It will be held between 9AM and 12PM at Joel Barlow High School.

IV.     Adjournment
The next COA meeting is scheduled for June 6th at 9:00 A.M.

There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M.
