MINUTES

Tuesday, April 5, 2011
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House

Present: David Pattee, Chairman; Jeremiah Ross; William Hill; Stuart Green; Joseph Beres; Victor DeMasi; Wallace Perlman.

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

I.      APPROVAL OF MINUTES     --Minutes of March 15, 2011

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the March 15, 2011 Meeting Minutes.

II.     REGULATORY

Application #11-01, Jan and Sue Dorenbosch, 6 Charlie Hill Lane.  Received 1/18/11.  Discussion and possible vote on an application to clear brush and some trees to create a lawn in two sections of property and to apply about 250 yards of topsoil for regrading in the regulated area.  Site Walk 3/13/11.  Discussion 3/15/11.

Mr. Dorenbosch was present along with his contractor,  M. Lato.  Following a brief explanation of the proposal by Mr. Lato,  D. Pattee requested additional information to include a drawing depicting what the area will look like and how the regulated area will be protected during and after the construction phase.  In addition, Mr. Lato was requested to submit a copy of his home contractor license.

D. Pattee requested a letter granting an extension.  Discussion will continue at the next meeting.

Application #11-03, Town of Redding (Rob Blick, Director, Parks & Rec.), 72 Topstone Road.  Received 3/15/11.  Discussion and possible vote on an application to hydro-rake Topstone Park pond.

On the motion of V. DeMasi and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #11-03.

III.    CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

J. Ross and D. Pattee met with the bank representative re: remediation of Mangini property.  A landscape architect has been hired and a replacement tree planting plan will be submitted.

The Deer Warden will make a presentation to the Commission in May.

D. Pattee reported on his meeting with the Land Trust.

S. Green noted receipt of an email from trail tenders re: bridge at Saugatuck Falls Natural Area.  Milone & MacBroom has inspected and reported on the condition of the bridge.


On the motion of V. DeMasi and the second of J. Beres, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.
