MINUTES
Tuesday, November 2, 2010
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House
Present: David Pattee, Chairman; Jeremiah Ross; William Hill; Stuart Green; Victor DeMasi; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Joseph Beres
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of October 16, 2010
-Site Walk Minutes 10/19/10-Mr./Mrs. Jones, 16 Granite Ridge Rd.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 10/16/10 Meeting Minutes.
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted to approve the 10/19/10 Site Walk Minutes. W. Hill abstained.
II. REGULATORY
Application #10-24, Debra and Kevin Jones, 16 Granite Ridge Road. Received 10/19/10. Discussion and possible vote on an application for basement repair and to correct drainage within the regulated area. Site Walk 10/24/10.
A representative for Mr. and Mrs. Jones was present. D. Pattee noted receipt of a new drawing from the applicant and a letter from D. Hartline.
The Commission concurred that discussion will continue at the next meeting pending further review by D. Hartline.
Permit #06-37, Fred Klumpp, 42 Lonetown Road. Request to modify existing Permit to move the approved septic system to a new location based upon new tests conducted on the property.
Mr. Klumpp and D. Falls were present. The proposed modification was reviewed. D. Pattee noted receipt of a letter from D. Hartline.
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the modification to Permit #06-37.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
D. Pattee noted receipt of a letter from N. Ketcham dated 11/2/10 reappointing J. Ross to the Commission.
The Habitat is now available online. S. Green and D. Pattee will be attending the CACIWC annual meeting.
An educational program on invasive species is being planned in cooperation with Highstead Arboretum.
A status report re: deer numbers in Redding and neighboring towns was provided by D. Pattee.
S. Green reported that the main fields have been completed at Couch Hill Preserve.
On the motion of V. DeMasi and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 p.m.
