MINUTES
Tuesday, July 20, 2010
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House
Present: Victor DeMasi, seated as Chairman; Jeremiah Ross; William Hill; Frederick Schroeder; Joseph Beres; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: David Pattee, Chairman
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to move Application #10-17 to the first item on the Agenda.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Minutes of 7/6/10
Site Walk 7/9/10, Mely LLC, 15 Main Street, Georgetown
R. Pszenitzki, 45 Hill Road
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of F. Schroeder, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 7/6/10 Minutes.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted to approve the 7/9/10 Site Walk Minutes. W. Hill abstained.
II. REGULATORY
Application #10-17, Rory Pszenitzki (owner), Hallas Associates LLC, Gordon Hallas (agents), 45 Hill Road. Received 7/6/10. Discussion and possible vote on an application to replace entire garage structure on the same footprint within the regulated area. Site Walk 7/9/10.
Mr. Pszenitzki was present. V. DeMasi noted receipt of a new map depicting silt fence locations.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #10-17.
Application #10-15, Connor and Virginia Murphy (owners), 11 Topstone Road and adjacent Town R-O-W, Town of Redding, Natalie Ketcham (agent). Received 6/15/10. Discussion and possible vote on an application for Drainage Improvements to Topstone Road. Site Walk 6/21/10. Discussion 7/6/10. Public Hearing to open 8/3/10.
Public Hearing will open on 8/3/10. No discussion.
Permit #05-25, Erik Hoaglund, 471 Newtown Turnpike. Request to renew existing Permit to construct dwelling, driveway and well within the regulated area.
Mr. Hoaglund was present. He reviewed the history and status of the existing permit.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of F. Schroeder, the Commission voted unanimously to extend Permit #05-25 for five years.
Application #10-16, Mely LLC (owners), New Canaan Design Partners (agent), 15 Main Street, Georgetown. Received 7/6/10. Discussion and possible vote on an application for demolition of existing superstructure and site stabilization within the regulated area. Site Walk 7/9/10.
A representative of New Canaan Design Partners was present. J. Ross reviewed the Site Walk findings.
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #10-16.
Application #10-18, Johannes P. Van Brakel and Tricia L. Nelson, 9 Great Pond Lane. To receive and discuss an application for regarding in the rear yard and excavating in the septic area.
Mr. Van Brakel and T. Nguyen were present. Mr. Nguyen displayed and reviewed the proposed plans.
A Site Walk was scheduled for Fri., 7/23/10 at 5:00 p.m.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
No discussion.
On the motion of J. Beres and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
