MINUTES

Tuesday, June 15, 2010
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House

Present: David Pattee, Chairman; Jeremiah Ross; William Hill; Frederick Schroeder; Wallace Perlman.

Absent: Joseph Beres; Victor DeMasi

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

I.      APPROVAL OF MINUTES     -Minutes of 6/1/10

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 6/1/10 Minutes as amended:  Page 1, “Approval of Minutes”, change to “change regarding to regrading.”

II.     REGULATORY

Application #10-09, Redding Country Club, Inc. (owners), Richard S. Gibbons (agent), 109 and 125 Lonetown Road.  Received 5/4/10.  Discussion and possible vote on an application for parking and pool area improvements within the regulated area.  Site Walk 5/8/10.  Discussion 6/1/10.

W. Hill recused himself.  Atty. Gibbons was present along with members of the
design team and Redding Country Club.  D. Pattee noted receipt of written responses to the Milone & MacBroom report and corrected drawings which were displayed and reviewed. D. Pattee confirmed that a sand filter is being used for the existing pool.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of F. Schroeder, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #10-09.

Application #10-15, Connor and Virginia Murphy, (owners), Town of Redding, Natalie Ketcham (agent), Topstone Road.  To receive and discuss an application for Drainage Improvements to Topstone Road.

N. Ketcham was present along with N. Burnham and Jim Murac from Milone & MacBroom.  Mr. Murac reviewed the proposal accompanied by drawings. He confirmed that permission has been obtained from Mr. Murphy.  

A Site Walk was scheduled for Mon., 6/21/10 at 5:30 p.m. D. Pattee requested placement of a stake at the manhole and proposed outlet location.

III.    CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

D. Pattee stated that a surveyor has been hired to survey the north end of Couch Hill Preserve and place monuments.

D. Pattee, J. Ross, Stuart Green and Susan Green held a class with JRMS 5th graders at the Saugatuck Falls Natural Area.  The school is putting together a curriculum to utilize the area as a classroom.

D. Pattee attended Session III of DEP training re: updating statutes.

W. Perlman reported that Mile-A-Minute vine has been brought to Redding. Mr. Perlman will inform the planter of the $1000 per plant fine.


On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 p.m.
