The Commission inspected the area of the Aspetuck River proposed for dredging.  G. Nazzaro outlined a procedure that would entail blocking the river flow with water-filled barriers.  River flow would be pumped around the site.  The site between the barriers would be pumped out and dredging operations would then be done “in the dry”.  Material removed would be temporarily stockpiled near the river, surrounded by silt fence, allowed to drain, and then be moved to the field area for spreading and seeding.

The site inspection ended at 6:25 pm.
