The Commission began its inspection of the wetlands area from the lawn of the Gordon’s. The outlet of the pond on the southern property was observed (water was flowing into the wetlands). The height of standing water in the wetlands was noted as was the high root system on the trees in the wetlands. The Commission then walked along the west side river bank to the existing pipe outlets. No inlet to those pipes was observed. The proposed tree replacement locations were marked in the field and were noted. Several outbreak locations were seen that were lowering the water level in the wetlands.
The site inspection ended at 6:05 pm.
