MINUTES
Tuesday, February 5, 2008
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House
Present: David Pattee, Chairman; Jeremiah Ross; William Hill; Joseph Beres; Victor DeMasi; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Frederick Schroeder
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Meeting of 1/15/08
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 1/15/08 Meeting Minutes.
II. REGULATORY
Application #07-25, D. Stewart Lade, 10 Diamond Hill Road. Received 10/2/07. Discussion and possible vote on an application for removal/deposition of material and new home construction and renovate existing barn within the regulated area. Site Walk 10/8/07. Discussion 10/16/07. Received letter of extension.
Mr. Lade was present along with Mr. McAllister from McChord Engineering. The proposal was briefly reviewed in addition to correspondence from D. Hartline.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Beres, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #07-25.
Application #07-31, Mark Guss (owner), Nazarro, Inc. (agent), 10 Wood Road. Received 11/20/07. Discussion and possible vote on an application to dredge sediment from existing pond. Site Walk 12/1/07. Discussion 12/18/07.
J. Nazarro was present along with neighbor M. Whitehouse. D. Pattee noted receipt of requested letter from Mr. Whitehouse.
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #07-31.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
D. Pattee reported on the CT Association of Wetland Scientists annual meeting on 2/26/08 in Wallingford.
D. Pattee noted recent meetings and discussions with B. Flanagan. Mr. Flanagan is completing GIS training.
J. Ross will investigate complaints re: slope protection at Georgetown Fire District site near Gilbert & Bennett.
On the motion of V. DeMasi and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
