The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Meeting of 6/19/07

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 6/19/07 Meeting Minutes.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 6/25/07 Site Walk Minutes.
II. REGULATORY
Application #07-13, Marlene and Christopher Kopec, 49 Deacon Abbot Road. Received 6/19/07. Discussion and possible vote on an application to install an inground swimming pool approximately 77' from a wetland. Site Walk 6/22/07.
C. Kopec was present. A new drawing inclusive of the equipment pad was submitted. The pool orientation was clarified. D. Pattee drew silt fence locations on the drawing.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #07-13.
Application #07-14, Paul Shiverick/Matt Meehan (owners), North Point Construction (Mark Giumarra), agent., 226 Poverty Hollow Road and 230 Poverty Hollow Road. Discussion and possible vote to cut back briar, remove dead wood and to remove debris piles. Site Walk 6/22/07.
M. Giumarra was present for the applicant. Site Walk findings were reviewed.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #07-14.
Application #07-15, Jarl Granskog (owner), North Point Construction (Mark Giumarra), agent. 264 Newtown Turnpike. Received 6/19/07. Discussion and possible vote on an application to remediate small runoff at holding pond from road and property ground water. Site Walk 6/22/07.
M. Giumarra was present for the applicant. Site Walk findings were reviewed.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #07-15.
Application #07-16, Kelly Bower (owner), Joseph P. Martin Jr. (agent), 285 Poverty Hill Road. To receive and discuss an application for a septic system replacement with the regulated area.
Kelly Bower and J. Martin were present. Mr. Martin reviewed the proposed plans. A site walk was scheduled for Sun., 7/22/07 at 8:30 a.m. The ends of the proposed location should be staked per D. Pattee.
Application #07-17, John and Katherine Cavanaugh (owners), Peak Engineering (Tom Quinn), agent, 10 Beech Lane. To receive and discuss an application for installation of septic system within 100' of designated wetlands.
Tom Quinn was present for the applicant. He displayed and reviewed the proposed sewage disposal system repair plan. A site walk was scheduled for Sun., 7/22/07 at 9:00 a.m.
III. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
D. Pattee noted receipt of a notice from DEP re: Meeker Hill dam repair.
The Plant Science Day Open House is scheduled for August 1, 2007 at 11:15 a.m.
Senate Bill 1341 was signed by Gov. Rell despite letters of opposition. D. Pattee reviewed the letter submitted by the Town of Greenwich.
The Redding Pilot online will be running an article on field improvements at Joel Barlow.
Re: Riverbend. The Zoning Public Hearing is closed and deliberation will begin at the next meeting.
On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:22 p.m.
