The meeting was called to order at 9:12 a.m.
The purpose of the meeting was to review applications submitted for real estate and personal property appeals of the 2008 Grand List.
The Board sorted and counted the applications received. Sixty applications were received as of February 21, 2009. Due to Town Hall being closed on Friday, February 20, 2009, the published deadline for receipt of applications, the Board agreed that applications postmarked February 20, 2009, or those brought to the Assessors office by close of business on Monday, February 23, 2009, would be eligible for review.
The Board scheduled the following meeting dates for appeal hearings:
Saturday, March 7, 2009 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday, March 13, 2009 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 14, 2009 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Board will deliberate appeals on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If there is still work before the Board after that time, another meeting will be scheduled.
A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and carried unanimously at 10:30 a.m.
